Sr Engineer

FedEx Internet Engineering is looking for a network engineer to help design and implement IP based network services. Critical systems to be worked on include routing, content delivery, load balancing, interactive video and DNS. These key technologies will add functionality as well as increase the reliability and scalability of the FedEx network. FedEx Internet Engineering is a highly motivated team developing creative and elegant solutions for the FedEx family of companies.

Preferred skills include:
- complete understanding of IP network addressing and routing
- strong knowledge of Cisco routers and their configurations
- excellent written and verbal communications skills
- strong attention to detail and self motivation

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Typically has more than 5 years work experience in Engineering and/or Information Technology environment. Advanced certifications in areas of expertise (i.e. Security, Configuration Management, Systems Administration) preferred. Masters preferred.
