Sr. IT/Network Engineer

Adecco Technical is currently seeking a Sr. IT/Network Engineer for one of our clients in Irvine, CA. This is a temp to perm position.

The Sr. IT/Network Engineer develops information systems by identifying client problems and objectives; designing solutions; managing projects and staff.

Responsibilities:
? Achieves operational IT objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity,
quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
? Develops and implements applications and databases by analyzing business processes; documenting software requirements; and making implementation decisions.
? Determines and maintains project schedule by developing project plan and specifications; estimating time requirements; establishing deadlines; monitoring milestone completion; providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress; coordinating actions; resolving conflicts.
? Evaluates and recommends vendor software by collecting and evaluating information on vendor solutions; testing compatibility with existing systems and hardware configurations; and presenting
recommendations to senior management.
? Improves information systems and processes by studying operations and problems; recommending process changes; anticipating potential problems resulting from the changes; and designing and implementing software and operational changes.
? Supports users by developing and documenting user manuals and instructions.
? Maintains security by keeping information confidential, and developing, maintaining, and implementing appropriate corporate information security policies & procedures.
? Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional
publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
? Obtains approval and buy-in for changes by building relationships with key stakeholders; keeping stakeholders informed; and coordinating implementation issues across functional groups.
? Meets IT financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
? Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
? Accomplishes information technology human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions;
planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

Requirements:
? Basic requirements: General Consulting Skills, Client Relationships, Project Management, Change Management, Promoting Process Improvement, Technical Leadership, Presentation Skills, Coaching
? Technical requirements: Management of MS Exchange Server, IP Telephony systems, Enterprise Networking, Information Security Standards & Practices, IT Governance & Software Development
Processes, ERP Implementation, Database Design
? Preferred: experience with QAD?s MFG/PRO ERP System, implementation of any Top Tier IP voice network, Mandarin Chinese proficiency helpful but certainly not required
