Sr Lead Engineer-Hardware

Description: Successful candidate must have significant hardware design, test and integration experience. Military aircraft integration experience is also preferred. Candidate is expected to work with some or all of PC's, PC-104, Compact PCI, VME, VXI, and high speed interfaces such USB, USB-2 and Firewire. Should have RF receiver experience in the frequency range of 100 MHz to 3 GHz. Specifically, the candidate will participate in building, field testing, operating and maintaining receivers and other RF systems. Successful candidate will also have a thorough understanding of the data acquisition process including A/D conversion, hardware to perform the A/D conversion, and the associated system level trades. Candidate will be required to work with vendors to provide requirements and to assess the vendor's ability to satisfy those requirements. Candidate may also need to interface with aircraft systems such as data buses, GPS data, INS data, etc. Software skills would be a plus especially to include HTML, JAVA, Visual Basic, C, and C++, and experience with the following operating systems: Windows NT, Windows XP, VX Works.

Qualifications:
All applicants selected for this position will be subject to a Department of Defense/government security background investigation and must be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent. Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect the image of the organization's technological capability. Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Typically requires Masters with min 10 years or Bachelors* with min 12 years
