Sr Systems Engineer II (Requirements Tool Expert)

Job Description: Provide Systems Engineering Requirements Management Tool support and consulting services to engineers on programs in NCS and SAS. Specific tasks include: helping users on programs to apply local processes for Requirements Management and Verification in DOORS, and tailor DOORS to specific program needs. Identify and document Systems Engineering Requirements Management enablers and best practices. Manage the Requirements Management toolscape, define and implement tool strategies and integrations.



Required Skills:
- Minimum 4 years DOORS Experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of DOORS System Administration: database admin, installations and upgrades, user account setup and admin
- Minimum of 1 year of DOORS DXL programming experience
- DOORS Consulting and Training experience

Desired Skills:
- Strong people, communication, and problem solving skills
- Systems Engineering Program Experience (2-5 yrs)
- Knowledge and application of the Systems Engineering Process and CMMI
- Top notch computer skills and programming experience in one or more languages
- Self directed and good organizational skills
- Experience integrating DOORS with two or more of the following: Rose, ClearCase, Synergy, Popkin/System Architect, Tau, Rhapsody, Rational Software Architect, MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel)
- Experience in the application of engineering tools for (Requirements Management, Statistical Design Methods, Design for Six Sigma, System Architecture, Object Oriented Systems Engineering)
- Experience in the application of (2 or more) of the following other Systems Engineering Automation tools areas: Math & Simulation (eg. MATLAB, Mathcad, Simulations, Modeling), Systems Architecture & Design (eg. use of Popkin System Architect, Extend, Tau, Rhapsody, Provision, Rational Software Architect, Rational Rose), Specialty Engineering (eg. use of Reliability/maintainability/logistics tools), Verification and Test

Required Education (including Major): B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical degree. Minimum GPA - 3.0


Desired Education: M.S. Systems Engineering
