Systems/Network Engineer

Mitutoyo America, located in Aurora, IL, currently has an exciting, career opportunity for a Network/Systems Engineer within the I.T. department.

 

Primary Responsibilities:Configure, support, maintain and troubleshoot: Cisco LAN/WAN Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory environment Checkpoint VPN remote access Disaster Recovery ? utilizing Tivoli Storage Management Citrix farm for ERP application Security (Pix firewall, Symantec anti-virus, Websense internet monitoring, Mimesweeper mail filtering) Basic DBA administration for Oracle/SQL systemsEvaluate potential system enhancements Perform analysis, design and implementation of expansion and improvements to network infrastructure Help define information technology strategy for computing and network infrastructure Provide technical expertise in a variety of areas

 

Requirements:Seasoned professional with 7 plus years of  experience in LAN and WAN with an emphasis on Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and related communications equipment. 4 year college degree MCSE, CCNA (a plus) Experience in supporting/developing a Windows Active Directory environment Proven track record building and supporting highly scalable and reliable network infrastructures Demonstrated success in managing concurrent, large-scale projects which were successfully completed on time and within budget Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective systems documentation Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging technologies Must understand and be able to articulate the business case for technology investment Experience researching, designing, implementing and supporting a comprehensive network systems management infrastructure, to include proactive monitoring/alerting, configuration management, capacity planning, trending, and availability management Technology experience with MPLS, Frame Relay, T-1, T-3 Preferred skills include:  Unix, Lotus Notes, Oracle, SQL
