Systems Software Technical Analyst/UNIX
SSM Health Care in St. Louis, MO has an opportunity for a Systems Software Technical Analyst working with UNIX. Position will be responsible for architeting, implementing and supporting the SAN Infrastructure to support the implementation of the EPIC advanced clinical applications.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Information Systems or equivalent IS work experience. 3-5 years practical SAN administration experience. Detailed knowledge of Brocade SAN switches and EMC Symmetrix and Clariion hardware and software including Brocade FOS, EMC Navisphere, EMC Control Center, Symmetrix SRDF and Timefinder. SAN administration skills including install and configuration of hardware, operating system software, and storage management software; high availability SAN design and management; storage allocation; performance management; and capacity planning. Familiarity with HP-UX, AIX and Windows operating systems. Knowledge and practical experience with high availability clustering concepts using HP MC/ServiceGuard and/or IBM HACMP, Tivoli Storage Manager, Oracle, MSE, and/or Cache database administration preferred. Position will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting the SAN infrastructure to support the implementation of the Epic advanced clinical applications. Duties will include hardware selection and design of multiple storage systems using disk-based replication and tiered storage, SAN design and implementation, hardware installation and configuration, software installation and configuration, storage allocation for multiple operating systems, implementing disk-based replication to support backup/recovery and disaster recovery and supporting the storage environment for optimal availability, performance, and capacity planning. Candidate should possess detailed knowledge of Brocade SAN switches and EMC storage devices, 3-5 years of practical SAN administration experience and familiarity with storage allocation for UNIX and Windows operating systems. Knowledge of experience with HP-UX or IBM AIX administration, high availability clusters, database administration, especially Intersystems Cache and/or Oracle and knowledge of Tivoli Storage Manager would be pluses.
