Techncial Support Engineer (Bay Area & Seattle)

Isilon Systems is seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Technical Support Engineer. As a member of the growing Isilon Customer Service team you will provide technical product support for new and existing Isilon customers.

Requirements: Provide support of Isilon products to end user customers Interface with customers via phone, email, web interface and in person Provide technical phone support, installation assistance, reproduce customer bug scenarios, escalate applicable cases to appropriate department (engineering, marketing/sales, operations, etc.) Use Customer Relation Management (CRM) application to track customer problems Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot product related issues Write technical bulletins to be distributed to customers and posted to Isilon Knowledge Base



Position Requirements: 2 years minimum experience supporting customers of enterprise storage, networking or high-end server solutions for large enterprise accounts and data centers Ability to quickly learn new technology and new products Experience with both Unix and Windows environments Experience with installation of software and hardware Persistence in obtaining resolutions to issues Handle customer escalations in a highly professional and competent way
