Technical Support Engineers: Data and Telephony
Convergys Corporation is seeking Telephony and Data Engineers to support the leader in next-generation network evolution. Engineers will provide high level technical support to our client.

You will provide excellent customer service and technical support for our customers by trouble-shooting and providing solutions to network and /or phone system problems. Successful candidates will take in-bound or place outbound calls, as necessary. You will manage case backlog, re-create issues in our lab, and more.
Telephony Engineer:
REQUIREMENTS:
Thorough/Proven understanding of Telephony hardware/software for PBX systems, Key systems, voicemail systems (for analog and digital systems), IP telephony, etc.
Advanced knowledge of Telecom basics troubleshooting (analytical thinking, problem definition, ability to eliminate variables, ability to analyze and understand error logs, configuration files, network maps, translation tables, and identify effective solutions), programming (ability to configure both simple as well as complex configurations and features), moves/adds/changes (awareness of potential issues and conflicts, incompatibilities etc)
Understanding of Data TCP/IP, Networking of converged networks (data and telephony products), Routing, Switching, ATM, Frame Relay, X21, ISDN etc.
Data Engineer:
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic understanding of LAN/WAN Networking
Basic Routing/Switching Knowledge
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP
PREFERRED TELEPHONY AND DATA QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Networking, associated hardware and software
Working Knowledge of all Microsoft Operating Systems.
Good understanding of VPN and Firewall
Good understanding of WAN Protocols (i.e. ATM, ISDN, FR, PPP, etc.)
Networking Certifications (i.e. CCNA, MCSE, A+, NNCSS, etc.)
