Technical Writer - PCB EDA

Research, design, develop and maintain documentation (printed & online manuals, tutorials, and online help) for EDA software used to develop PCB Systems. Perform an audience analysis to investigate the needs of the target audience. Coordinate technical reviews, and test deliverables for clarity, accuracy, and usability. Write to standards and style guidelines. Participate in project support teams that include representatives from product engineering, product marketing, customer support, quality assurance, other documentation writers, and instructors.

 

4+ years of technical writing experience or equivalent supporting complex technical products. Software or hardware experience in PCB EDA-related field preferred. Bachelors degree in Technical Communication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Excellent interviewing, researching and writing skill. Capable of running EDA software applications and participating in their development. Ability to work on cross-functional teams and concurrently work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently. Proficiency in the use of publishing tools (FrameMaker preferred) on a PC. Familiarity with UNIX environments.
