Position Description
Function: To operate and maintain an assigned press. 
Purpose: To print a quality job according to job specifications while maintaining a high productivity standard.  To assist in the training of the assigned press apprentice.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.  Past experience as a Press Apprentice preferred, but not required. 

Key Areas of Responsibility
Review specifications for the job.  Set-up and run press to meet job specifications.  Make sure set-up meets specifications.  Operate press at most efficient speed with consideration to all safety requirements.  Do minor machine repairs as needed.  Monitor print quality and make needed adjustments.  Perform daily housekeeping in and around press. Fill out daily production reports. 

Scope
Job requires attention to detail, communication skills, teamwork skills, the ability to train others or model behaviors, and requires mechanical aptitude. Good knowledge of math and ruler reading.

High 51 and up times per shift
