Position Description:

 

Level two server support position supporting 300+ Windows servers located in the North American Data Centers. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the ITIL approach to IT service management for level two positions.

 

Skills Required:

?  The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Windows server infrastructure with a minimum of six + years hands-on experience.

?  The ideal candidate should possess a technical certification (e.g. MCSA, MCSE, MCP, etc.) and have excellent skills in troubleshooting a windows server operating system and Intel server hardware issues.

?  The ideal candidate would have Windows server hardware and windows operating system troubleshooting skills and experience with both Dell and IBM server hardware.

?  Over 2 years experience working with web servers, preferably MS IIS, in a large scale environment.

?  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 2000/ 2003, including system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security.

?  Ability to use performance analysis to tune systems.

?  Experience in a large-scale Active Directory environment.

?  Knowledge of Visual Basic scripting is preferred.

?  Prefer a candidate who has experience with Tivoli server monitoring as a server monitoring solution and enterprise level experience supporting 300 + servers within a data center environment.

?  A candidate with excellent written and oral communication skills as well as experience in project management is preferred.

?  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
