Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:

Formulates/defines specifications for complex software programming applications of modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. May be responsible for applications dealing with the overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages. Performs activities such as operating system architecture integration and software design to selection of computer systems, languages and/or equipment. Participates in preparation of technical proposals. Provides guidance to other software engineers.

Typical Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, related technical training (or equivalent experience) plus at least five years of directly related experience.

Position Description:

Java/Oracle Developer is needed to work on a team developing a large web-based system.  Responsibilities will include assisting in design and implementation of new features, interfacing with other system components and resolving problems.  Experience with Java, JSP and servlets.  Scripting environment includes Perl and JavaScript.  Strong Oracle experience.  Rup and full life-cylce development helpful.  Must be able to work effectively with team in designing and developing solutions.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, related technical training (or equivalent experience) plus at least five years of directly related experience. Must have a minimum 4-5 years of Java and Oracle experience of which 1-2 years were spent architecting enterprise software applications.
