3589 – QA Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst will report to the QA Manager, participating in all assigned activities pertaining to the planning, coordination, execution and reporting of all test initiatives undertaken to validate all proprietary software applications developed or used by our client. Additionally, the QA Analyst will help ensure compliance and upward compatibility for future versions. Team responsibilities include baseline testing, regression testing, functional/integration testing, and post release validation. To successfully accomplish these responsibilities, the QA Analyst will work closely with business units and subject matter experts to prepare and execute test plans, track test data, and identify expected results.

Major responsibilities include:
? Work with users and subject matter experts to gain a functional understanding of the application.
? Development, maintenance, execution, and communication of test scripts using Compuware?s TestPartner.
? Responsible for development, maintenance, and execution of manual test cases.
? Coordination, assistance, and communication of test environment build requirements and availability.
? Create or validate test data using SQL.
? Responsible for baseline testing, regression testing, function/integration testing, and post release validation of application modules as assigned.
? Rapid testing response to corrected defects.
? Participate in documentation and organization to further the QA/Testing effort.
? Identify, document, and communicate all issues discovered during test case development and test execution following documented issue reporting procedures and policies.
? Interact with programmers and other business unit members to help identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
? Rapidly produce quality products under tight and strict deadlines.
? Development and communication of test initiative summations and post-mortems.
? Work independently with minimal supervision.
? Mentor and educate junior team members.


Required Skills:
? 5+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance.
? 3+ years experience with automated testing tools.
? 3+ yrs experience with an industry standard testing tool.
? 3+ yrs experience generating SQL queries including SQL scripts to create or validate testing data.
? 3+ yrs experience with issue tracking and bug resolution methodology
? Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel.
? Should be able to work with minimal supervision, and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
? Demonstrated analytic, problem solving skills, and technical/non-technical leadership abilities.
? Demonstrated ability to rapidly produce quality products under tight and strict deadlines.


Preferred Skills:
? Experience with Compuware QA Center Enterprise Edition (TestPartner, TrackRecord, QADirector, and Reconcile).
? Experience with both web-based and client based software application testing.
? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
? Health industry and insurance billing experience desired.
