AS400 Senior Systems Analyst

Currently we are working with a firm in Fairfield County that is looking for a AS400 Senior Systems Analyst for a Direct Hire.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:
RPG/400 programming in a fast-paced AS/400 environment.
Creation/implementation of software systems.  Includes determination of user requirements, development of detailed programming specifications, coding, de-bugging, testing and training users.
Recognize potential design problems and develop alternate solutions.
Follow departmental guidelines for efficient coding techniques and system documentation.
Simultaneously perform multiple IS projects and maintain accountability for all tasks associated with the projects.  Always meet project deadlines.
Contribute to and support the implementation of software upgrades.

 

 

Technical Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience with AS/400 operating system and programming with RPG IV and RPG ILE.
Heavy experience with subfiles and interactive programs.
Ability to organize and perform detailed analysis of business/technical issues.
Full project life cycle experience.
Experience with PC?s, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Manufacturing and EDI experience a huge plus.

College degree required.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment focusing on customer requirements and business needs.
Willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
