AVERT Field Support Engineer

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Provide assistance to sales and support organization for resolving customer issues during evaluation or implementation of anti-malware/spyware solutions.
2) Liase with spyware/malware researchers to resolve detection, repair or description problems related to spyware or malware signatures.
3) Speak with reviewers, customers or the general public on spyware or malware issues as needed.
4) Assist with developing collateral for sales and support related to AVERT's policies and procedures, and spyware/malware trends and intelligence.
5) Other duties as necessary.
6) Some travel (including international travel) will be required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1) Excellent oral and written communication skills.
2) Deep (5+ years) experience with a variety of anti-malware solutions, preferably McAfee's, but potentially competitive products.
3) Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
4) Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
5) Broad understanding of computer security concepts and ability to convey those ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
