Job Summary:
Responsible for the proper recording of 3rd party product cost of goods sold and maintenance expenses.

Responsible for the proper recording of 3rd party product cost of goods sold and maintenance expenses, including the calculation and recording of correct cost amounts and ensuring that cost amounts are recognized in the same period as the revenue. 
 Prepare monthly 3rd party product margin analysis for Lawson executive management to determine the financial success of Lawson?s 3rd party product offerings, including a recap of any unusual items or trends. 
 Provide information on 3rd party product shipments to Revenue Analysts to ensure proper timing of revenue on 3rd party products. 
 Act as a resource to third party administration and provide input, guidance, and audit assistance as it relates to the preparation of 3rd party royalty reports, in order to help ensure that Lawson is in compliance with 3rd party contractual and reporting obligations. 
 Reconcile royalty reporting and payments to vendors to ensure that Lawson is properly paying its 3rd party vendors. 
 Seek out improved methods for tracking and recording of 3rd party related items.
 Review data that is being processed through the system, and prepare various schedules and reconciliations as part of the monthly closing process to ensure 100% accuracy of the financial statements. 
 Provide schedules and various analyses as part of the external audit. 



Minimum Qualifications:
 4 year degree in accounting/business/finance or equivalent work experience
 6+ years business experience, preferably in accounting, finance or a related field
 Demonstrated ability to apply GAAP to specific business situations
 Ability to present and write information in a clear and effective manner
 Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, unusual situations
 High level of computer literacy - Required to learn Lawson Insight and have proficiency in Word and Excel
 Ability to present extensive analysis of data.
 Ability to read and interpret legal contracts

 

Preferred Qualifications:
 3+ years experience in public accounting.
 Familiarity with GAAP as it applies to the Software Industry.
