Purpose and Scope: Involved in all facets of an image-based automated classification system,

including image segmentation, feature extraction, feature classification, feature

  verification and algorithm tuning.

 

 



Responsibilities:

-Develop concepts for new image processing algorithms

-Model and test algorithms using high level language

-Document algorithm design, data flow, etc

-Transition algorithm concept and documentation to an Algorithm Software Engineer for implementation

  and optimization

-Oversee algorithm implementation

 

Qualifications:


-*Must meet eligibility requirements for US government security clearance.



- 5 years image experience in at least one of the following:

-Near real-time two dimensional image processing

-Pattern classification (feature based classifiers)

-Pattern recognition systems

-Experience writing technical documents

 

Education and Training



- Masters of Science technical degree or equivalent research experience
