Emdeon Practice Services, formerly known as WebMD Practice Services, is the leader in physician practice management software. Emdeon?s software enables physician practices to effortlessly handle prescription ordering, billing, scheduling and electronic medical record keeping. Our beautiful, 400 acre research and development campus is minutes away from Gainesville, Florida, home of the University of Florida.
Emdeon Practice Services has an immediate opening for an Application Deployment Architect. This position will provide a leadership role in the design and implementation of our software deployment methods, primarily with regards to our flagship Intergy product suite. The position will be part of the Intergy architecture team.
Responsibilities:
This position?s primary responsibility will be to design and lead the implementation of deployment methods that will enable Emdeon to reliably and effortlessly install and upgrade our customer systems.
Specific responsibilities include:
Design and develop installation programs that can reliably install client / server application software in a Windows environmentDesign and develop methods of deploying patches that can be applied in an unattended environmentWork with the Intergy development teams to deploy new products and featuresProvide guidance to a small team of installation program developers
Required Skills:Our preferred candidate will have at least 5 years experience developing installation and configuration programs in the Windows environment.Experience deploying client/server software to a large customer base is very helpful.Experience with Windows Installer is required; experience with InstallShield is very helpful.Experience performing database updates very important; experience with Progress DBMS would be very helpful, but not mandatory.
