Application Developer/Programmer II - MS .NET

We are currently seeking an experienced application developer to be a key member of the development team. This person will play an instrumental role in designing and implementing application enhancements and bug fixes. This person will employ Microsoft SQL Server and utilize ASP.NET, VB.NET and VB6 to deliver production solutions potentially impacting hundreds of thousands of debit card/credit card holders. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of successfully developing and implementing multi-tiered, web-based high transaction applications that impact hundreds, if not thousands, of users. Development experience with a transactional processing application is a must. Major Responsibilities • Support and troubleshoot existing applications and data structures. • Designs, develops, codes and tests .NET modules. • Fixes bugs in code and develops software enhancements. • Interact with Client Services to resolve customer problems and test scripts in support of all intended production releases of software. • Develop Reports • Monitor systems, applications and performance. • Evaluate and introduce testing tools. • Develop and document coding specifications. • Provide status updates to team leader(s). • Provide input into product design. Qualifications :
• The qualified candidate will have a minimum of four yrs. experience designing, developing and implementing software applications in a structured development environment - two of these years as a .NET developer writing to SQL Server or other RDBMS. Experience in T-SQL, VB6, and ASP are also required • Hands-on knowledge of web development/management tools is required. • Track record of implementing and supporting high volume transaction systems in a complex environment is highly desired. • Experience with Web/Windows based testing is highly desirable, as is experience with testing in Web application development environments such as Microsoft .NET, Websphere or Oracle. • Proven history of developing strong internal customer relationships - someone who will get to know the needs and expectations of peer developers and implementation teams.
