Application Integration Designer/Developer
SOA Application Integration Designer / Developer
Seeking an individual to fill the role of an application integration designer within our IT Software Development Group. This individual will be one of a number of our technical staff responsible for integrating both legacy and new ERP applications with an Enterprise-wide, SOA based application integration infrastructure.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Work with Technical Project Leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet the requirements of functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability, while maintaining adherence to architectural goals and principles.
Design specific application integration solutions that preserve existing functionality while maximizing the flexibility and reusability of an SOA approach to integration.
Specify and design both application specific services as well as identifying global, common services to be instantiated on the enterprise framework.
Follow service designs through from conception through deployment to ensure the architectural integrity of the solution and assess technical risks relative to software and system design
Assures the complementary synthesis of all standards, models, designs and methodologies recommended by the Enterprise and Systems Architects.
Consult with various implementation and quality-assurance teams
Qualifications
Senior Developer with a minimum of 10 years of large scale, full life cycle development experience and 5 years as an application integration in the capacity of both a Designer and Developer.
Expertise in industry standard application integration technologies such as Web Services, Orchestration Services and Event Driven Architectures
Strong Java skills required (Extensive distributed application development experience using J2EE), JMS, XML and XSLT.
Experience designing and developing distributed applications using SOA products. Ability to build re-usable Java libraries.
Experience in the integration of cross company business applications
Strong system level problem solver with demonstrated troubleshooting skills in a distributed computing environment.
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
Progress Database, 4GL, Sonic MQ & ESB experience is highly desirable.
Experienced in Windows and Unix environments
Ability to work independently, as part of a team and cross functionally.
Education:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
