Applications Developer III - Microsoft Technologies

PetSmart headquarters (Store Support Group) in Phoenix, Arizona has an immediate opening for an Applications Developer III - Microsoft Technologies. This position will work primarily in support of various custom applications, corporate intranet and related portal initiatives. In addition to the development of web applications and Window form-based applications, duties will include preparation of business requirements, analysis/design and technical specification documentation.

In addition, the successful candidate will be able to:

Utilize a firm understanding of design methods and architectures

Assist the Project Manager in establishing team goals, objectives, and budget

Be a self-starter with excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills

Demonstrate experience with:

- Windows form-based development

- Corporate portals and intranets

- SharePoint, WSS, .NET, ASP, ADO.NET, DHTML/JavaScript, XML, and Web Services is highly desired

- Oracle and/or SQL is required

- Front-end/back-end design and development


The qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree (or related experience) and demonstrated solid experience in application development and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of Microsoft development experience, preferably in the retail industry. Proven experience in working on large projects and the ability to understand business requirements and translate those to technical requirements is essential.
