Description: 

The Web/Software Engineer will have the opportunity to build the technical foundation of Definity Health that supports our innovative business models.

Job Responsibilities:
Build the internal and external web interface, as JSP and HTML pages for all aspects of our business.
Build middle-tier J2EE (EJB, JMS, etc.) or have experience Enterprise Development building components & connections to third party systems to provide the plumbing & infrastructure functionality for our web site.
Build Java applications to support the operations of a Health Plan.
Work with others to transform Use Case Specifications into real life systems.



Qualifications:
3+ years experience with relevant technologies is required.
Technology experience: HTML, Java, JavaScript, JSP, JUnit, Application Server development, OO& Patterns, SQL and middle tier development.
Other preferred technologies: XML, O/R Mapping Tools, BEA WebLogic Server, Rational Rose or Together, Apache HTTP Web Server, Oracle.
Experience using, creating, and maintaining application frameworks.
Able to develop reusable software components.
Experience with object oriented development methodologies (Agile Development, XP or similar preferred).
Ability & desire to work in highly dynamic, fast paced environment.
Strong communication, analysis and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated understanding of business process and requirements. 
BS in Computer Science, Math, MIS or Engineering and/or equivalent work experience (4-year degree strongly preferred).
