Axapta Lead Developer

 

 

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and customizing Axapta forms and reports. In addition, this position will be responsible for leveraging current applications and recommending new applications to support company goals.  In addition to programming, this position will be responsible for mentoring and developing junior staff.

Experience with successful implementations in the ERP field is required.

 

Only candidates with a history of successful ERP implementations will be considered.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

?  Valid Microsoft certifications

o MS SQL Database

?  A firm grasp of the technical issues and language/coding skills required for successful ERP implementations (ie: Baan, JD Edwards, Oracle, or Peoplesoft)

?  Minimum 2-3 years programming in a Object oriented such as C++ or J2EE

?  Above-average problem solving skills

?  Very good customer/client relation skills

?  Very good organization and prioritization skills

?  A working understanding of accounting procedures, terminology, and standard practices

?  Excellent writing/documentation skills for design specs and end-user documents

?  Willingness to travel to customer locations for on-site work

?  Potential exists for occasional pre-sales technical support.

?  The desire to provide phone support and/or end-user training along with primary programming activities

Optional Qualifications:

 

?  Valid Microsoft certifications

o Axapta AOS Certification

o Axapta Programming

o MorphX Integration

?  2-3 years programming in a MorphX and X++

?  Microsoft MCSE or MCDBA certifications.

 

 

Lead Developer Responsibilities

 

In this role you will be responsible for the development phases of Axapta implementations, as well as the installation and technical/post-implementation support for our expanding Axapta clientele. Your prior successful Axapta development experience must allow you to work with confidence while independently programming in most areas of the application.

?  Lead in identifying departmental reporting needs

?  Coordination of all changes to base ERP (Axapta)

?  Work closely with the Director of IT on projects related to system enhancements

?  Coordinate functional specification creation with various department heads for any system enhancements.

 

 

Education and/or experience:
5 years Object oriented programming experience in the ERP field,

or,
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

 

Valid US citizenship or legal authorization to work within the United States (TN-1s accepted).  Others need not apply.
