Bi-lingual Developer Relations Engineer

<li> In search of a dynamic developer with bi-lingual skills (fluent in Spanish and/or portuguese)to support our clients in Latin America. Be part of a team of engineers providing world-class software support to IT organizations and software developers across the globe on BEA products.
<li> Understand two or more BEA products in their entirety and demonstrate the ability to traverse software code to find bugs.
<li> Be able to develop sample applications, instrument BEA product code, and gather technical data as required to solve complex customer issues.
<li> Engage third party vendors to assist in the troubleshooting process.
<li> Travel to customer sites for quick resolution to urgent customer issues.
<li> Clearly articulate to customers and BEA management a problem definition and resolution plan.
<li> Act as a mentor to frontline support engineers by providing in depth training and coaching as needed.
<li> Work with R&D and PM to contribute to product quality, product enhancements and product design decisions.

Qualifications
<li> Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Spanish and Portuguese. Must be able to fluently write and speak the language(s).
<li> Ability to work independently with minimal management direction.
<li> Passion for working with people, and a strong interest in helping BEA's customers succeed.
<li> Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to speak confidently with both engineers and senior management.
<li> Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
<li> Ability to multitask effectively and work well under pressure.
<li> 2+ years of Java and J2EE experience.
<li> 2+ years of experience with application server technology.
<li> Experience with RDBMS like Oracle 8i/9i, MS SQL Server 7/2000
<li> Knowledge of operating system flags and utilities for NT and UNIX based systems.
<li> Experience with C, C++ a plus.BS/MS degree in CS or EE
