We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Product Management team, working specifically in the area of Application Program Interfaces (APIs).

Responsibilities: 

-  Develop functional and technical requirements for API products using software development expertise and business analysis. 

-  Develop comprehensive functional specifications and use cases that will be the blueprint for technical development and implementation efforts.

-  Manage change and enhancement requests so that Business, Engineering, and Quality teams are coordinated in their efforts.

-  Blend technical and business knowledge with communication skills to bridge the gap between business and technical objectives.

-  Serve as a liaison between the business and engineering group.

-  Assist the Product Manager in scoping and prioritizing of software releases.

-  Participate in design walk-throughs and review the Quality team?s test plans to ensure that they meet the business objectives.

-  Provide documentation needed for the development of user guides, release notes, and training materials.

-  Provide documentation for end-user training.

-  Analyze product features for improvements on an ongoing basis.

-  Interact with users to discuss needs and product features.

Qualifications: 

-  Minimum 5 years hands on software development experience, likely to have been gained working as a developer in a futures trading firm or exchange.

-  Solid understanding of futures products and trading, including hedging, spreads, implied prices, order types and electronic market access.

-  Substantial experience developing server and GUI applications using C++, C#, and VB.

-  Solid understanding of COM and .NET.

-  Knowledge of worldwide electronic futures exchanges, their products and their matching engines/algorithms.

-  Excellent understanding of technology and it's practical application for product/system/interface design.

-  Structured, organized, methodical thinker: Persistent, creative, tenacious work ethic.

-  Ability to produce high quality detailed requirements, functional processes, and user-interface designs.

-  Strong critical judgment; ability to distill complex information into concise, effective analysis.

-  Excellent listening and interviewing skills; ability to elicit customer requirements, take detailed notes, pose relevant questions and understand the overall picture.
