Business Analyst / Systems Consulting Analyst

 Major Position Responsibilities:

1. Prepare for and conduct client meetings as needed (requirements, design, status).


2. Define and analyze client business requirements.


3. Ensure that project quality standards and methodologies conform to client requirements. Identify and communicate any deviations to standards applicable to the web portal.


4. Assist in all project phases as needed to complete projects per contract specifications.


5. Assist with the development of project materials. Ensure the quality and maintenance of all documentation. Perform quality reviews of major project deliverables.
  a. Develop and maintain requirements documents.
  b. Develop and maintain use cases and design documents.
  c. User (online help).
  d. System documentation.
  e. Training materials and possibly training key users. 
f. Identify opportunities for reuse of all documentation between projects.


6. Testing
  a. Assist QA Lead with the design of testing initiatives for repeatability.
  b. Assist with the verification that all functionality needs have been met and tested.
  c. Assist with the development and execution of detailed system and user acceptance test plans, test cases and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
  d. Assist with documenting and managing defects, coordinating defect resolution with developers and retesting fixes.


7. Provide ongoing support to FAS and client post implementation.


8. Support project management efforts
  a. Accurately estimate work efforts of BA team tasks and complete assignments on schedule.
  b. Provide status reports.
  c. Provide issue resolution recommendations to project manager. Ensure that there is regular and effective communications of issues and corrective actions between teams.
  d. Assist with managing client expectations. Establish and maintain positive rapport with client and act as primary point of contact.


9. Travel as needed.

Education and Typical Years of Experience:A Bachelors degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 3 years systems design experience in a large-scale computer/systems environment and 2 years with major responsibility for developing, revising and controlling technical documentation of a complex system.
Specific Requirements:REQUIRED:(MINIMUM) Similar experience on at least one enterprise internet-based project, especially experience in defining customer requirements utilizing use cases, developing professional documents utilizing Microsoft Office, developing test plans, test cases, and conducting system and integration testing. Need to have strong analysis skills, ability to multi-task, solid writing skills, good verbal communication skills, good presentation skills, good facilitation skills and knowledge of a testing methodology. Ability to travel overnight to meet with customers.

PREFERRED: Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Segue SilkTest), Medicaid/health claims knowledge, Robohelp, Microsoft Office Suite
