Business Analyst with Software Development Lifecycle Expertise

Immediate contract opportunity for seasoned business systems analyst!

 

OVERVIEW:

For this position your responsibilities will include:
Documenting guidelines, roadmaps, and scenarios for a variety of development projects
Reviewing / revising existing templates and guidelines
Conducting interviews and  gathering requirements from project staff and IS architects
Devising, writing, editing, and incorporating review of comments into templates and guidelines

 

REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years related work experience
Experience constructing systems using a structured software development life cycle methodology
In-depth understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements, design, development, and implementation) for business database systems, with an emphasis on the transitions from requirements to design to development
Experience writing use cases and re-using them for design, testing, and user documentation purposes
Configuration / implementation experience for commercial software systems
Knowledge of the process for designing and implementing relational databases
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
Basic familiarity with the Rational Unified Process and the Zachman framework
Bachelor?s degree in relevant field
Knowledge of life cycle methodologies (e.g., P+, SEI-CMM, RUP) highly preferred
Experience with the design / implementation of relational databases preferred
Experience leading the documentation of functional requirements using use cases a plus
