Business Process Analyst-Facilities IS Team

As a Business Process Analyst at Micron, you will partner with key individuals both domestic and international to develop an understanding of business needs & strategies and identify solutions. This includes acting as a customer liaison, providing a communication channel between the technical team and key customers; to help to increase quality, reduce cycle time, and reduce costs.

 

You may also facilitate the demand process on projects, enhancements, and system defects including providing analytical & design support and gathering & documenting requirements. Other responsibilities are to provide robust communication plans for approved efforts and communicate timely status to stakeholders, utilize formal process methodologies to provide project leadership for approved efforts by managing project scope, system objectives, and quality of deliverables while maintaining defined project schedules, participate in test plan development, quarterly release testing; and ensure compliancy to department and regulatory initiatives.

 

You will also identify automation and manual process improvements to provide efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and completeness; analyze how systems can help make business processes more effective; work with development teams to identify automation requirements; and collaborate with business units to implement manual process changes and define & participate in Business Intelligence efforts.



Qualified candidates will have 3+ yrs. IT Business Systems Analysis experience, experience with Formal and/or Industry Standard SDLC’s, (RUP, Agile, etc.), analysis of Functional and Non Functional Requirements, experience with requirements gathering methods and tools (eg UML, OOAD methods, Use Case, DFD), design and documentation of system components, customer interfacing, excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to consistently achieve desired results, have strong multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively, be a self starter who actively takes initiative on issues with systems, is willing to participate in on-call rotation and has an MIS, CIS, IS or related degree


 


Preferred qualifications include familiarity with SQL Server and/or Oracle, previous experience in software development, 2+ yrs. IT Project Manager experience, Business Process Re-engineering, Business Intelligence Analysis (related to Data Warehouse efforts) and experience with a Formal Testing methodology
