C#/Delphi Software Engineer

Command Alkon, the global leader in integrated solutions to the construction materials industry, is currently seeking a qualified C#/Delphi Software Engineer for our Birmingham, AL corporate headquarters

Job Description:

?  Design, program, test, document and implement mission critical applications based on standards and procedures

?  Research and evaluate alternate solutions and recommend the most effective and efficient method to facilitate product design and development

?  Author design specifications based on an understanding of the business or functional requirements for existing or proposed applications

?  Participate in user acceptance testing of the applications

Requirements:

?  B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

?  8 yeas of Software Engineering experience

?  5 years experience troubleshooting complex technical issues including Citrix and LAN connections, and Oracle and SQL Server databases

?  Experience creating and using software installation and deployment scripts

?  Experience with the .NET framework and C# and/or Delphi programming

?  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

?  Program in a highly efficient manner and follow departmental coding standards in developing and maintaining programs

?  Excellent communication skills both oral and written

?  A strong team player and able to work in a dynamic team environment

?  Interfacing with customers, both internal and external

?  Ability to travel 25%
