C# Developer ? Intermediate Software Engineer

Saflink, founding partner of the Fast Lane Option (FLO) Alliance, is seeking dynamic new team members for our Reston, VA, office, to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry as we develop and deploy our FLO program, a Registered Traveler solution allowing travelers to pass through airport security quickly and securely. In partnership with several major corporations, including Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Johnson Controls, Smiths Detection, and Expedia Corporate Travel we have developed an end-to-end solution that provides for the complete Registered Traveler credentialing process and its operational use in airports (see www.FLOinformation.com).

Job responsibilities:

?  Participate in estimating project timelines and resources, reviews progress, and adjusts schedule and scope.

?  Identify technical, schedule, and other project risks.

?  Prepare detailed design of client-side and server-side application components.

?  Communicate, through presentations, component designs to others on the project team.

?  Develop high-quality code for client-side and server-side application components that is reusable, easy to maintain and easy to troubleshoot.

?  Develop install packages and scripts for products.

?  Debug and test written components.

?  Participate in the review of peers? work product, designs, and code.

?  Conduct maintenance programming for shipping products.

?  Research new software development platforms and tools, report findings and train peers as needed.

?  Apply SAFLINK programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation.

?  Maintain confidentiality of company?s source code, product designs, and other proprietary and strategic information.

?  Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

?  Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.

?  5 years? experience with several full-lifecycle software development projects.

?  Required experience using the following Programming Languages:  C#

?  Required experience using configuration management software

?  Experience using .NET framework

?  Experience using Java and C++ preferred

?  Experience using Object Oriented Design Methodologies, Design Patterns, UML, Software Development Process theory

?  Working knowledge of internet software, MS Office, Visio

?  Familiarity with Microsoft Developer?s Studio preferred

?  Development experience using Microsoft?s Win32 API preferred

?  Working knowledge of Microsoft server-side technologies, including SQL Server, COM+, and .NET preferred

?  Experience with Case Tools preferred

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

?  Ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly and effectively

?  Ability to accept and provide feedback on work product

?  Ability to participate as a team member in a team-based, project-oriented work environment

?  Ability to understand complex symbols (i.e. formulas, scientific equations, and graphs)

?  Ability to analyze test solutions, alternatives, technologies, and choose the one most suited to the task

?  Ability to communicate designs and topics of various technical natures to members of project team
