Position 1:

 

Job Title:     Senior Software Engineer

Reports To:  Software Engineering Manager

Department:  Design Engineering

 Job DescriptionThe candidate will be responsible for leading the software verification team to verify embedded software developed using the DO-178B guidelines up to Level B software. The candidate is expected to ensure that the verification effort complies with DO-178B, interact with SQA to ensure successful audits, present timely status to the functional and program/project managers and propose verification environment and tools. The candidate will be responsible for all verification documentation such as the Software Verification Plan, Cases & Procedures and Results and provide input to the Software Development Plan.Education

BA/BS degree w/4-7+ years experience

MA/MS degree w/2-5+ years experienceExperience/Qualification

* Experience with software verification Development using DO-178B guidelines, CMMI Level 3 process and above or equivalent software development process.

* Proven leadership skills leading software verification teams.

* Proficient in C/C++ programming language. Experience with Labview is highly desirable.

* Proven experience verifying software in an embedded environment.

* Experience with verifying software for IMA platforms and ARINC 653 is highly desirable.

* Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills.

* Demonstrates good technical writing skills and verbal communication skills.

* Comfortable making presentations to customers for certification audits.

* Communicate status to management in a clear and concise manner and on a timely basis.

* Manage priorities well and is able to multitask.

 

 

Position 2:

 

Position:   Software Design Engineer

Reports To:SW Engineering Manager

Department: Design Engineering

 Job Description

Write and execute test procedures to test safety critical software in the aerospace industry compliant to DO-178B guidelines for Level B software. Write and/or update software documentation such as the Software Requirements Specification, Software Design Description, Software Test Procedure and Results as well as any Software Planning documents. Report status to the Team Leader and Program Manager in a timely fashion.Required Skills

C programming, MS Word, Technical Writing

 Education

BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sceince or Computer Science Engineering with 2-5 years experience in software development.

 Experience/Qualification

Proficient in C programming language,

Proficient in MS Word and technical writing,

Able to work with Software Design Engineer to support documentation activity,

Knowledge or familiarity with DO-178B is desirable,

Analytical and independent problem-solving skills.

Communicate status to management in a clear, concise manner and on a timely basis,

Manage priorities well and is able to multitask.

Good technical writing skills and verbal communications.
