C++ Search Engine/Systems Developer

Dynamic and booming media services company is looking for new talent.

Extremely visible products development group needs C/C++ developers for Legal Systems/Search Engine Development. This group is involved in projects with text mining, text analytics, indexing, data aggregation, information retrieval, natural language processing... This is a massively distributed application so expertise in that regard is a huge plus.

Replacing the current search engine is on the top of the list for current and future projects.

 

This is an exciting time to join a group of 12 developers that will grow to

40+ over the next year.

 

This company had an Internet before the global Internet.

 

Candidates must have extensive experience developing complex software with C/C+, STL and Design Patterns in a Unix environment. Java and C# are new languages in this group; guru-level expertise is required to substitute for C++. A strong OO background is required. XML and related technologies

are required. Experience in high-performance UNIX programming is a strong requirement. Strong candidates will have experience with network programming(TCP/IP, UDP), multithreading, middleware development, IPC...

 

The hiring group understands they have a hugely extensive requirements list so they welcome resumes with variations of these requirements. C++, STL and OOD&P remain hard requirements.

 

Qualified candidates will have 5-7+ years of experience. However, candidates of all levels are accepted for these positions if candidate proves a heavy expertise in certain areas.

 

Should have a BS in CS or EE or equivalent. Masters is preferred.
