CISCO Administrator / Support Technician

Seeking CISCO superhero for immediate, long-term contract assignment!

 

OVERVIEW:

For this intermediate-level position you will be performing routine technical troubleshooting and administration tasks in support of our CISCO network components / appliances.  This will involve some light travel to other offices around the state (typically one day / month).

 

Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and reporting on network performance and security issues
Assisting internal staff with the implementation of network maintenance solutions (cabling, switch/router replacement, testing equipment and cabling, configuring and testing switches/routers, etc.)
Working with telecommunications vendors to troubleshoot wiring/cabling connectivity issues when services are down
Documenting the resolution of network performance and service issues

 

REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years experience working with CISCO routers and switches
Current CCNA and CCNP certifications
Experience with PIX Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including ability to create clear, concise documentation
Willingness to travel, as necessary
