COBOL Developer - Senior

R. B. Zack & Associates, Inc., a Southern California software development company focused on business applications, is seeking an experienced COBOL programmer.  You will work with some of our large music and apparel industry clients on mission-critical accounting, order processing, publisher royalties, product distribution, inventory control, payables and other systems.  You will have the opportunity to work with end users and gain real insight into the inner workings of their business.  There are also excellent opportunities to expand your talents outside of COBOL.

 

We require 5+ years of COBOL development experience and excellent communication skills.  Experience with AcuCobol on Linux or UNIX would be ideal. You will also need strong business applications experience such as with G/L, A/R or other related systems or a demonstrable understanding of accounting principles and practices.  Knowledge of Oracle and project management and/or customer support experience is a big plus.
