Chief Data Warehouse Architect

 

 

You will lead the data warehouse team on a variety of projects that will enhance our data warehouse and reporting capabilities. You will work with project managers, architects, data modelers and business staff to develop and extend the data warehouse and reporting capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities
Design and develop key application components
Support design efforts by architects
Manage requirements to minimize scope issues
Execute unit testing plans
Understand all systems requirements within deliverable and provide valuable feedback to stakeholders
Possess skills to manage junior level and team members at sub-project level
Provide work direction, set and monitor goals and workflow

Qualifications
5+ years related database and application programming experience
Experience with large scale data warehousing and business intelligence, healthcare experience preferred
Display expertise in application development with one or more programming languages within a single development environment
Technical proficiency with Oracle, PL/SQL, SAS, ASP, JSP, XML, ETL tools
BI tools - Business Objects, Microstrategy, Proclarity
Show interest in continuing to expand technical skill base within application development environment via on-the-job assignments and formal class work training
Strong knowledge and successful use of structured programming techniques
Medium-to-Large-scale Project Management full lifecycle experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong concentration and focus under challenging conditions
Good organization and planning skills
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
