Position Description:

The CTO is responsible for providing enterprise infrastructure vision and problem anticipation/solving on an enterprise level. Must be current on IT industry trends and have the ability to anticipate future directions and relate those changes to current and future infrastructure needs and projects. The individual in this position must remain continuously aware of business, technical, architecture and infrastructure issues and act as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions. This individual may also be called upon to provide any level of project management for single or multiple projects.

Essential Functions:

Assist other leaders in the determination of the enterprise IT architecture and assure it is in alignment with established business goals.

Responsible for the implementation of the enterprise IT architecture and be able to apply enterprise vision to all infrastructure projects.

Responsible to assure all projects conform to the enterprise IT architecture.

Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the enterprise IT architecture requirements.

Responsible for the establishment of processes used for the selection of policies and technologies related to the enterprise IT architecture.

Lead efforts to research and select policies, procedure and technologies used to implement the enterprise IT architecture. This would include being able to conceive solutions, build consensus and execute solutions.
