Job Title: Applications Engineer



Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa



Responsibilities: As an Avatech Applications Engineer, the candidate will consistently demonstrate his/her ability to deal with industry specific companies at a business-to-business level, identifying and providing solutions that fulfill the business needs of our clients.



The Applications Engineer will be required to:



Develop and perform customer product demonstrations and workshops for industry solutions and software products.

Conduct standard (courseware guided) training courses for software products

Perform onsite technical support services for clients as needed

Work, in a supporting role, with other project team members, to provide client technology implementation services

Maintain detailed understanding of the competing product capabilities and strategies

Make Contributions to the Solutions Group, ie:



? Product Tips/Tricks



? Marketing Presentations



? White Papers and Publication Articles





Requirements:



The successful candidate must:



? Have strong knowledge of current CAD technology and 3D modeling



? Possess strong understanding of common industry practices



? Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills



? Be a problem solver with a ?get it done? attitude and strong self-motivational attributes



? Have high standards for themselves, their product, and their services



? Thrive in a team atmosphere



? Possess superior organizational/time management skills and a ?make-it-happen? attitude



? Adhere to the utmost business ethics ensuring Avatech maintains its respected image



? Be willing and available to travel, if needed, both regionally and nationally, up to 50% of monthly schedule to provide designated services.



Experience: 2 or more years of proven experience in CAD technology support, or related engineering experience utilizing 3D modeling software. Autodesk products experience preferred.



Education: B.S. degree in related engineering field, or commensurate work experience.


Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
