Client Manager

Overall Responsibilities:

The Client Manager will act as the primary contact between SunGard and its iWORKS Compass clients, from both an account management and support perspective.

 

Essential Duties:

Depending on the client relationship, the Client Manager may play a large or small role in the overall management of the client?s implementation of the Compass application.  The Client Manager will be responsible for tracking actual versus budgeted costs and provide regular status to client(s) and SunGard management.  Client Managers are often the first line of support for all client issues, but may also have a team of analysts and/or consultants working for them at the client site. 

 

Qualifications:

Candidate must be a proven self-starter, capable of focusing simultaneously on multiple tasks and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Familiarity with relational databases, COBOL, SQL, and project management software tools are a plus.

 

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

- Experience in the financial services industry; in software, client services, consulting, sales support, or other relevant fields.

 

Highly Desired Skills and Experience:

- Experience with group benefits, pensions and insurance, and/or group investment products (defined benefit / defined contribution)

- LOMA Certification

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Five years of experience managing software implementation projects

- Experience with ?C? level client executives

- Account planning experience

- Profit and Loss responsibility

 

Travel Requirements:

Up to thirty five percent, this may include international travel to client sites. 

 

Principal Working Relationships:

Clients, Designers, DBAs, Business Analysts, Software Developers and Development Managers, and Version Control Analysts.
