Cognos Administrator

IdleAire Technologies is looking for an experienced Cognos Administrator to join our Information Services team.  This role will be instrumental in assisting with the setup, configuration and maintenance of the Cognos 8 BI software.  You will be responsible for maintenance of security, metadata modeling, cube development,  application support and end user training.

* Security and User Management

* Metadata modeling

* Initial report writing and training of business report analysts

* OLAP Cube development and maintenance

* Building of models in Framework Manager

* Administration of reporting environment

 

Mandatory Skills:

 * Several years of Cognos Experience

 * Experience in administrating OLAP Applications

 * Experience with Dimensional Modeling

 * Experience with complex report writing and dashboarding

 * Experience with metadata modeling

 * Strong fundamentals of computer science, including knowledge of advanced data structures and algorithms

 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Desired Skills:

* Knowledge of various Relational Database Systems

* Knowledge of Web Services

* Experience with both Windows and Linux environments deploying java based systems

* Experience in data modeling

* Experience with Cognos version 8 BI
