Job Title: Internal Communications Specialist
Location:San Jose
Duration:1 Year





Job Description:
This position provides communication support for one or more of the following:
- IT Executives
- IT Programs and Services

Responsibilities include defining a communications strategy, developing a plan and implementing the plan for communications initiatives on a worldwide and enterprise wide basis. Work closely with a global network virtual organization where most team members reside in other theaters. Interactions require the ability to influence and persuade at all levels regarding complex situations. Impact is worldwide and significant. Development of presentations, emails, articles, scripts and assorted other peripherals that provide clear messaging. Understand communications models and the implications of change management on communication. Candidates must have knowledge of communication methods and strategies and the ability to work with all levels of exempt employees, contractors, vendors and project managers.

Bottom Line:
This person will be part of a team that will be putting together communications regarding I.T. project roll outs. Communication will go to upper management and end users. This person will need to work with the team to craft messages based on intended audience. Stages of communication. 1. Awareness (alert community of pending changes) 2. Readiness(alert community of actions needed to be done for changes). 3. Adoption (alert community of what is needed to utilize new systems). Keep in mind, these changes are company wide and global.


Requirements:
10 years demonstrated experience with internal corporate communications.

10 years I.T. Communications strategy [and campaign] experience.

5-7 years Executive Communications experience

5-7 years large company experience working on global projects.

Strong MS PowerPoint skills.

Marketing/Communications Degree

The communications specialist must be able to understand technical information and translate complex information into understandable communication to individuals at all levels.

Preferred:
Understanding of IT business in general a plus but not requirement as long as candidate has the ability to understand
technical information

PR experience

Ability to provide quality communication outputs using various channels in tight timeframes
