Program Analyst - Communications Information Specialist (Technical Writer/Web Analytics)

 

This candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as creating and maintaining documentation related to the content management system (training materials, policies and standards, user manuals, and other related documents). This position will define the web analytics needs for the NIH web products and produce related reports to be used in the management and development of digital communications products. Ensure compliance with policies and standards for the NIH Web site, modifying pages based on new guidelines, and providing support to approved Web projects.  The position supports web re-engineering projects and content development. This candidate will understand the principles of content management, and information design and will be able to apply these to their work. This person will be a problem solver with strong people skills; will have exceptional editing skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a group.

 A. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Liberal Arts degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field. Must have 3+ years experience in Web editing, content publishing and copywriting, with experience in the health/science/research area preferred.Specialized training in Web tools, experience with Web Content Management tools preferred.Significant direct experience implementing, troubleshooting and supporting Web sites.
