Contract Oracle DBA (Datawarehouse Expert)

Aavalar Consulting has contracted with a well known investment company to provide and Oracle Database Administrator who has at least 3 years of experience on a RECENT Data Warehouse development project.

 

Please note:

> We are not looking for a Production DBA but rather a Development DBA who has worked on a Data Warehouse project from the ground up.

*** We are looking for someone who interacts well with all levels of management.

*** The consultant in this role must be hands on... in other words they must be able to design but also build

 

Consultant's Title: Oracle DBA Data Warehouse Expert

 

Work Location: Suburbs of Philadelphia

 

Is Telecommuting possible? Maybe but only after a high degree of trust is established

Who does this position will report to?: Senior Manager

 

What is the start date of the contract?: ASAP

 

What is the anticipated length/scope of the contract?: Long term - 12 month initial

 

What is the size of the team ?: Approx 14 - 15

 

What projects will the consultant be involved with?:

Develop new database designs and applications to support data services across business lines and platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Data Architecture team to design and implement data warehouse and data marts which will provide integrated global data access across platforms.

 

Role with the group: Oracle DBA - Data Warehouse expert

 

Requirements:

> Oracle Development Database Administration Experience

> Data Warehouse and Data Mart design experience is a MUST HAVE

> Expert SQL development experience (Oracle PL/SQL preferred)

> Expert SQL Stored Procedures development experience

> Experience with information management technologies such as data mining

> MUST be personable, articulate, and easy going.

> MUST have a entrepreneurial attitude toward getting things done.

 

Desired Skills:

> Oracle Streams

> Experience using ER/Studio and other Embarcadero tools like DBArtisan

> Financial Services Experience (portfolio accounting, back office processing, transaction processing)

> Experience using ETL tools (Informatica preferred)
