DATA ARCHITECT - W/ SQL SERVER DATABASE EXPERIENCE

Data Architect   My client, a highly respected Center City Philadelphia Firm,  is currently seeking a motivated

Data Architect for their Applications Department.  The Data Architect will work in the Database Services team which addresses the needs of a variety of internal IT and business related departments. In this position, this person will actively participate in all stages of the SQL Server Infrastructure lifecycle; from backups and disaster recovery, to maintaining the existing SQL clusters, and upgrading existing business systems. You will also be involved in the development and creation of data warehouses related to third party applications. These warehouses are designed to meet the ongoing demand for custom reporting and analysis. Additionally, you will also participate in the implementation and integration of a variety of third party applications which depend on SQL server infrastructure.

 

The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience in SQL Server infrastructure including development, implementation, and maintenance of multi instance SQL server clusters and SQL server replication schemes.

The successful candidate will also have 5+ years experience as a database architect, with a proven track record in SQL coding, DB architecture, tools, methodologies, OLAP and data warehousing deployments.

Qualified candidates will have:

' Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis.

' Experience with reverse engineering application processes.
 
' Familiar with distributed database technology and replication.
 
' Understanding Data Warehouse Architecture and concepts.

' Having experience in high-volume databases systems.
 
' Effective communication skills.

' Bachelor of Science, (BS) in Computer Science, Information System, or Computer Engineering.
 
' Microsoft Certified Database Administration (MCDBA) Certifications.
 
' Microsoft's Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification preferred.
