Data Analyst and Data Modeling Specialist

JOB DUTIES: Perform data architecture duties to support the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) project. Will Work with System Manager, Business SMEs, System Architect and Technical Architect to Develop, maintain and document the extensions of the Remedy CMDB (COTS Product) data model, manage change control, work with the authoritative source systems architects and DBA to validate the design if needed. The purpose of the project is to provide a solution system to act as the single source for all Computing and Network Operations (CNO) configured items (CI) data and Integrate several major CNO authoritative data sources into a into a single large scale system. It will provide interrelationships of all CI's contained in the authoritative data sources. Duties include, but not limited to:

analyzing data (both vendor and Customer) and mapping data to data model. Understanding customer business processes in reference to the data. Advise Project team on aspects of standards in regard to data.

Ensure data quality is maintained and improved. Support development team on needed data and work with authoritative source systems focal if needed. Document all aspects regarding the data, and act as advisor to project team on data issues and questions. Duties will also include Mapping the client's implementation of the Remedy Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data model to the Computing and network Operations (CNO) IT Infrastructure data model.

JOB SKILLS: Oracle, SQL, and data modeling skills required. Knowledge of remedy based products and CMDB strongly desired. Prefer knowledge of macroscope 4.5 methodolgy. Knowledge of ITIL is a plus. Familiarity with clearcase is also preferred.
