Database Administrator/Analyst - Financial Information Processing

 

Broad Function

Establish and maintain applications, processes, procedures maintenance, performance tuning, documentation and manage physical changes to maintain database operations, with SQL Server Utilities, T-SQL, DTS, Stored Procedures and Triggers.  Interface with development project teams to ensure efficient database operations and provide value that assures effective use of SQL Server Databases.  Manage database release management processes and coordinate maintenance of development, testing, and production environments.

 

ResponsibilitiesConduct application and server performance tuning to improve database performance.Manage systems capacity and performance for existing requirements and plans for future needs.Perform and manage database administration to ensure database availability and enable the proper database monitoring.Research and prototype database reporting tools and technologies to support future business requirements.Develop standardized and automated release management procedures.Manage and deploy replication server solutions supporting both disaster recovery and applications.

Qualifications5+ years work experience in diverse technology environments, with 4+ years supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases and related softwareStrong SQL 2000, DTS, Replication Server, and T-SQL skills.Microsoft Certifications and Training or equivalent experience is requiredEffective communication skills ? oral, written and presentation.Demonstrated adaptability to organize, coordinate and implement tasks with strong attention to detail.
