IT Operations is responsible for managing 24x7 system and business process monitoring, desktop support, IT facilities, process improvement and incident management to ensure a high level of system availability and customer satisfaction.

Job Summary:
The Data Center Operations Associate will assist in the running and management of the Data Center and all related systems for the bank. Data Center Operations will function as a monitoring unit for all operational processing and facilities related functions of the bank. This includes availability of all core banking systems, servers and processes that support and maintain the bank running on a 24 * 7 timeframe. This individual will be responsible for intrusion detection and avoidance, data center security, incident response and emergency communication. In addition, this individual will be responsible for high level trouble shooting and issue resolution on a broad range of software applications, platforms, and networks.

The individual must be willing to listen, diagnose, and resolve issues in an efficient and timely fashion providing superior quality and excellence to our customers. It is expected that the Data Center Associate will possess and develop over time a unique overall set of general and specialized skills that will compliment the skill set of the entire IT team.

This individual should be equally knowledgeable in both UNIX and Windows environments, and exhibit a solid understanding of networks. Strong verbal and written skills are essential; this individual must be able to clearly communicate to a diverse audience including executives. This job requires shift work and the individual will be on a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:
Experience & Qualifications:
-3 years work experience in a technical capacity.

Education and/or Certifications:
-University Degree preferred.
-Technical Training as needed.

Technical skills and abilities:
-Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
-Ability to communication clearly in written and verbal form.
-Solid problem solving abilities.
-Logical thinker, step oriented problem solving.
-Solid technical skills.

2 Years experience with one or more of the following applications:
-Big Brother
-SiteScope
-Tidal Job Scheduler
-HP Openview
-MRTG
-Profile
-Q Pasa
-CISCO IDS
-Foglight
-MS-MOM

2 Years experience with two or more of the following operating systems:
-Windows
-UNIX
-SCO
-LINUX
-SUN
-DOS

2 Years experience with one or more of the following languages is preferred:
-Perl
-SHELL
-PHP
-DOS Batch scripting

2 Years experience with one or more of the following databases is preferred:
-MySQL
-Mumps
-Oracle
-mSQL

Working Conditions:
-This person must be able to work on a flexible time schedule; 24 * 7 coverage must be met.
