Data Services Analyst

Responsible for efficient and timely delivery of data services provided by the Almac Sciences? Network, Computer, and Telecommunications, (NCT), group.


 


General Duties:

Ensure requirements of end-user departments are met within timescales agreed by NCT group and end-user management.
Work towards agreeing standard datasets and techniques for interchange of data between Almac Sciences group companies and their external data providers.
Work with NCT group in defining the appropriate supporting protocols for data transmission.
Produce monthly metrics supporting data services activities. This may include but not be limited to % availability, number of DCF?s, kit metrics, EDI metrics
Provide DBA services as required.
Develop tools to support the data services group. Work with Almac development to provide input and specs for validated tools.
Develop process and tools to provide data maintenance service.
Ensure knowledge transfer is undertaken on all data services activities within the team and the broader NCT group.






Requirements:

College Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.  Database modules undertaken as part of degree desired.
Experience in database structure and concepts.
Writing technical documentation experience.
Familiar with SQL, and report writing techniques, desired.
Clarity & accuracy in verbal and written communication
Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision & timescales
Experience with Microsoft SQL server, Oracle RDBMS, MS-Access, and  knowledge of Crystal Reports, desired.
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
Willing to accept responsibility and work on own initiative
Ability to work flexible hours as tasks/timelines demand.
