Database Administrator

The Institute For Transfusion Medicine is currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our IT Team in our new offices that are conveniently located at 5 Parkway Center.  Essential duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows:  Administers and maintains the Organizations databases and report servers. Works under general supervision of a senior database administrator in the analysis, testing, coordinating, and implementing of database upgrades and patches. Charged with responsibilities in data migration; backup and disaster recovery; monitoring performance; database tuning and for providing ongoing support. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for the database environments working towards process maturity. Also responsible for data integrity, security measures for database contents, and access control to data and database structures in all production, validation, development, and training environments. This position requires sharing on-call support during off business hours. Bachelor?s Degree required with substantial computer science course work or 3-5 years comparable work experience. Experience in environments that are governed by regulatory agencies. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Replication, RMAN, Oracle Names, SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Report Services is preferred.
