Database Administrator - SQL Server

OVERVIEW:

For this position you will be assisting with in the development of local support of our production databases.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

? Managing resources

? Coordinating activities associated with production SQL Servers

? Documenting, following, and enforcing procedures

? Providing reports measuring quality and quantity of work completed

? Assisting with training in the areas of database technology and support

? Resolving problems with production SQL Server databases

? Tracking SQL Server problems with internal customers

 

REQUIREMENTS:

? 3+ year related work experience

? Experience with SQL coding, physical database design, performance tuning, and database internals

? Familiarity with backup/recovery strategies, distributed databases, data migration, security, and SQL error handling

? Knowledge of relational database management systems and client server technologies

? Experience with Windows NT operating systems

? Willingness to work on-call, as necessary

? Associates degree in relevant field

? Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred (may substitute for a portion of the required experience)
