Database Conversions Specialist

NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc., a rapidly growing, publicly held, top-tier healthcare IT company based in Horsham, PA, provides computer-based practice management and electronic medical records systems to more than 1,000 physician practices across the United States.  Ideal for any sized practice, from the multi-provider enterprise to the solo practitioner, NextGen Healthcare?s proven suite of applications streamline front- and back office administration and management of all clinical data relating to patient care outcomes.

 

We are currently seeking a Database Conversions Specialist to convert client databases to a new set of templates, including data mapping. Our electronic medical records template system is a development environment similar to Visual Basic and utilizes a back end database that is based on SQL Server 2000.

The ideal candidates for this position will possess relevant experience or coursework in computer programming (VB, ASP, .NET preferred), relational database programming (SQL, PL-SQL), or other similar database programming language. Experience with Stored Procedures and healthcare experience a plus. Computer Science degree preferred; other IT degrees considered.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with clients to assist in programming specifics required for conversions.

The position is based in our Horsham, PA, headquarters (suburban Philadelphia area).
